My 8-year-old son was doing third-grade math and came across division. He understands that 6 ÷ 2 = 3 because if you share 6 cookies among 2 kids, each kid gets 3 cookies.
Then he punched 6 ÷ 0 into my phone calculator. It flashed "Cannot divide by zero / Error".
He asked me: "Why isn't 6 ÷ 0 = 0? Or why isn't it 6? If there are 0 kids to share with, the 6 cookies are still sitting on the plate!"
